SNEWS 2015 @ Harvard
Saturday, November 21 | Boylston Hall 105
Harvard will be hosting this year's meeting of SNEWS (Southern New England Workshop in Semantics). SNEWS is a graduate student workshop having as its focus research in the field of semantics. It brings together graduate students in Linguistics from 6 schools - Brown, MIT, UConn, UMass, Yale, and Harvard. Its main desiderata are: (i) to give graduate students in Linguistics an opportunity to get feedback and gain presentation experience in an informal way before they are accepted at strong peer-reviewed conferences; and (ii) to give participants an opportunity to meet their peers from other universities, both personally and professionally - something that has led to lasting friendships and fruitful collaborations in the past.
