###  Chierchia receives Guggenheim Fellowship for 2019

 Haas Foundation Professor in Linguistics [Gennaro Chierchia](/people/gennaro-chierchia) has received [a Guggenheim Fellowship for 2019](https://www.gf.org/fellows/all-fellows/gennaro-chierchia/), the [John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation's](https://www.gf.org/about/fellowship/) 95th competition. He is the [only linguist to receive this award](https://www.linguisticsociety.org/news/2019/04/17/laurels-linguists-gennaro-chierchia) this year. Congratulations, Professor Chierchia!
