## Welcome Larson and Nicolae

The Department of Linguistics is pleased to welcome Dr. **[Bradley Larson](http://ling.umd.edu/~bradl/About_Me.html)** (PhD, University of Maryland), who will be joining us as a visiting lecturer, and Dr. **[Andreea Nicolae](http://people.fas.harvard.edu/~nicolae/Andreea_Nicolae/Home.html)** (PhD '13) who will be joining us as a College Fellow.

## Fall Events and Deadlines

The **[GSAS Registration](http://www.registrar.fas.harvard.edu/event/deadline-fall-term-gsas-registration-0)** deadline is coming up this Wednesday, August 28, and the **[Registration Deadline for all Undergraduate Students](http://www.registrar.fas.harvard.edu/event/registration-deadline-all-undergraduate-students)** is Tuesday, September 3. The **[Bok Center Fall Teaching Conference](http://bokcenter.harvard.edu/icb/icb.do?keyword=k1985&pageid=icb.page29680)** will be held Wednesday, August 28, and Thursday, August 29. **[Classes begin](http://www.registrar.fas.harvard.edu/event/academic-year-begins-first-meeting-fall-term-classes-0)** on Tuesday, September 3. Finally, **[Study Card Day](http://www.registrar.fas.harvard.edu/event/study-card-day-1)** is Tuesday, September 10. Additionally, mark your calendars for the Department of Linguistics' annual **[Fall Reception](/event/linguistics-department-fall-reception)** on Thursday, September 19, at 5:00pm.
