### Exam Period

The Fall semester is winding down as exams started Friday, December 10. The final day of exams is Tuesday, December 20. Winter break begins on Wednesday, December 21.

**[Lena Borise](/people/lena-borise)** and Maria Polinsky gave a talk entitled "Information structure without cartography: Evidence from Georgian" at CUNY Linguistics Colloquium on December 8th.

### Isabelle at Going Romance

**[Isabelle Charnavel](https://sites.google.com/site/isabellecharnavel/)** presented her work "[Point of view on Causal Clauses: the case of French *parce que* and *puisque*](https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7UlVKyrsysoUWlVQTdiNndFeEE)*"* at Going Romance 2016, a conference that took place at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität, in Frankfurt am Main, December 8-10.
