###  Farewell to Uli Sauerland

 Professor [Uli Sauerland](https://www.leibniz-zas.de/en/people/details/sauerland-uli/uli-sauerland/)'s (Vice Director, [ZAS](https://www.leibniz-zas.de/en/)) visiting position in our department has come to an end. Please join me in thanking for his time and work in our department this semester. You will be missed, Professor Sauerland!

###  Winter Recess, Spring semester dates

- The end of exam period is Thursday, December 19, 2019.
- Winter Recess begins on Friday, December 20 and ends on Sunday , January 26.
- Wintersession runs from Friday, January 17, 2020 and ends on Sunday, January 26.
- Spring Term begins on Monday, January 27, 2020
