January 22, 2024

## **Harvard at LSA**

The LSA Annual Meeting took place on 4-7 January in New York City. A group of Harvard linguists in the following picture (plus Anabelle and Oisín) gave wonderful presentations. Well done, guys!

## **Field trip to Texas**

Tanya Bondarenko, Jacob Kodner (first-year graduate student) and Ava Silva (freshman, Harvard College) visited the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe in Texas earlier this month to discuss a language documentation and preservation project on the Alabama language. They were also featured on the tribe's podcast where they talked about their work. You can listen to them [here](https://www.spreaker.com/episode/episode-103-krez-weekly-updates-for-the-ac-rez--58300409?fbclid=IwAR1UwA4OyX0B4x9VYtVICKKSnrU_TMZRkAE9sonZoqhOj54CbKDHa3oOEQM).
