### Spring Semester Ends

The Spring semester officially ends with the last day of [Spring Examination Period](http://www.registrar.fas.harvard.edu/event/examination-period-0) on Saturday, May 16. [Commencement](http://www.harvard.edu/commencement) will be on Thursday, May 28.

Spell-Out will resume its weekly postings in September. If you have news you would like to share during the summer, please contact the blog manager Dorothy Ahn. The [Harvard Linguistics Facebook page](https://www.facebook.com/harvardlinguistics) will be updated on a regular basis.

The 24th annual meeting of [Formal Approaches to Slavic Linguistics (FASL24)](https://www.nyu.edu/projects/fasl24/index.shtml) will be held at New York University, May 8th-10th, 2015. Professor **[Maria Polinsky](http://scholar.harvard.edu/mpolinsky)** will be giving an invited talk titled ["Molchanie zoloto: Some remarks on silent categories in Russian"](https:/nyu.edu/projects/fasl24/program/polinsky_fasl24_2015.pdf), and second year **[Lena Borise](/people/lena-borise)** will be presenting her work titled ["Intensity Peak Shift as a Precursor of Stress Shift?"](https://www.nyu.edu/projects/fasl24/program/borise_fasl24_2015.pdf) at the conference.
