###  Professor Ryan named Cabot Fellow

 Professor [Kevin Ryan](/people/kevin-ryan) was named a Walter Channing Cabot Fellow for the 2019-20 academic year. Cabot fellowships are given annually to a select few FAS faculty in recognition of their achievements and scholarly eminence in the fields of "literature, history or art, as such terms may be liberally interpreted." This award reflects his outstanding contributions to the field, including the publication of *[Prosodic Weight: Categories and Continua](https://global.oup.com/academic/product/prosodic-weight-9780198817949?cc=us&lang=en&)* (Oxford University Press, 2019). Congratulations, Kevin!

###  Liu receives Merit and Term-Time Research Fellowship

 [Yingtong Liu](/people/yingtong-liu) has received a [Merit and Term-Time Research Fellowship](https://gsas.harvard.edu/financial-support/list-fellowships/merit). These fellowships are granted to outstanding GSAS students. Congratulations, Yingtong!

###  Senior Thesis Colloquium Today (Monday, May 4), followed by All-Department Spring Reception

 The Senior Thesis Colloquium will be held today, (Monday, May 4) at **2:00-5:00 pm** and will be followed by the All-Department Spring Reception at **5:00 pm.**  As elegantly stated by Arlene, "though we find ourselves in seemingly inauspicious times, we still have much to celebrate as a community."
