###  Zhang at AMLaP 2021

 [Yuhan Zhang](/people/claire-zhang) gave a talk titled "A noisy-channel explanation for depth-charge illusions" (joint work with Rachel Ryskin and Edward Gibson) at [Architectures and Mechanisms for Language Processing 2021 (AMLaP)](https://amlap2021.github.io/index.html), hosted at the Université de Paris, France on September 2-4.


###  Harvard at ECIEC

 Over the summer, two graduate students in our department, Niels Kuehlert and Zach Rothstein-Dowden, gave talks at the [40th East Coast Indo-European Conference](https://sites.google.com/vt.edu/eciec2021/home?authuser=0) (ECIEC), held on June 17-19, co-hosted by Virginia Tech and Cornell University, held virtually. ECIEC abstracts are limited to invitation only submissions.
