Week of March 4

Spring Open House

The Linguistics Department held its Spring Open House last Monday in Boylston Hall. Many undergraduates came in to learn more about concentrating in linguistics. It would be great to see them join our department this coming Fall!

Thanks so much to all the faculty and graduate students who came to the event to answer questions, and a special thanks to our DUS Katie and Assistant Head Tutor Ankana who made this happen!

Department Ice Skating Party

The department and our beloved ones went ice skating on Sunday March 3 in Kendall Square at Canal District Rink! We booked the whole rink between 6:30 and 8pm and served everyone hot chocolate and pizza. Thanks to everyone who came!

Fun pic of the week – Boston icon in trees!

Lots of turkeys patrolled outside Boylston Hall last Wednesday and one of them flew up to join our discussion of reduplication in class. Thanks for its enthusiasm for linguistics!
