The Linguistics Department is located on the third floor of Boylston Hall. Boylston Hall is an imposing gray stone building on the southern edge of Harvard Yard (along Massachusetts Ave.), directly adjacent to Widener library. Take the Red Line to Harvard Square Station. Walk along Massachusetts Ave. toward Harvard Yard and enter through the Wadsworth Gate, the McKean Gate, or the Wigglesworth Gate.
Take the 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 77, 78, or 96 bus to Harvard Busway & Red Line. From the corner of Massachusetts Ave. and Church St., enter Harvard Yard through the Johnston Gate. Boylston Hall will be ahead and to the right.
Take exit 25 onto I-90 E.
Take exit 18, then take a left onto Cambridge St. Turn right onto Plympton St. then left onto Massachusetts Ave. Harvard Yard will be on the right.
Take exit 20 to merge onto I-90 W., then take exit 20 and bear right onto Cambridge St. Turn right onto Plympton St. then left onto Massachusetts Ave. Harvard Yard will be on the right.
Take exit 26 onto MA-3 N. Follow signs for Storrow Drive W., then take the Massachusetts 2A N. exit on the left and turn right onto Massachusetts Ave. Continue for about 2 miles. Harvard Yard will be on the right.
