SALT35 Conference

The Department of Linguistics is proud to host the 35th annual SALT Conference in Cambridge, MA on May 20 – 22, 2025.

GSAS Workshops and Talks

At the Indo-European and Historical Workshop, the Harvard Linguistics Circle, and the Language Universals Workshop, invited speakers present works on a variety of linguistic topics.

Whatmough Lecture

The department presents the Annual Joshua and Verona Taylor Whatmough Lecture in an area of linguistics that varies from year to year. Joshua Whatmough (1897–1964) was the founder of the Department of Linguistics at Harvard.

LangCog

Harvard LangCog (Language and Cognition) is offered jointly by the Language Development Lab (SnedLab) & the Meaning and Modality Lab.

Reading Groups
