Harvard at LSA
The LSA Annual Meeting took place on 4-7 January in New York City. A group of Harvard linguists in the following picture (plus Anabelle and Oisín) gave wonderful presentations. Well done, guys!
Field trip to Texas
Tanya Bondarenko, Jacob Kodner (first-year graduate student) and Ava Silva (freshman, Harvard College) visited the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe in Texas earlier this month to discuss a language documentation and preservation project on the Alabama language. They were also featured on the tribe's podcast where they talked about their work. You can listen to them here.
A goodbye message
Three of our visiting scholars left us this past December. They were:
