Harvard Linguists in Cameroon
Members of Harvard's PhonLab spent several weeks during J-Term conducting field research in Cameroon on the effects of political conflict and displacement on the use of Cameroon's indigenous languages, as well as acquisition of the Medumba language by young children. Led by PI Katie Franich, the group included 2nd year graduate student Alice Wang and juniors Sam Lyczkowski and Lexi Williams. They were also accompanied by collaborators Prof. Ariane Ngabeu (Howard U.) and Prof. Eric Fofack (University of Dschang).
